My goals for my students:

1. Never settle for anything
2. Always be kind and help others
3. Be strong and set goals then work hard to achieve those goals
4. Ignore those who try to dampen your light and shine brighter
5. Lead by example
6. Be the change you want to see in the world

I have been teaching inside the Marshall County School System for 22 years now. I graduated from Jacksonville State University in December of 1997 with a Bachelors Degree in Special Education. In 2005, I attended the University of Alabama to earn my Masters Degree in Education Administration. I have taught at Douglas Middle, Union Grove, Brindlee Mountain Middle and Brindlee Mountain High School. This year will be a new challenge for me, as I once again, will be teaching at the middle school level after extensive experience at the High School level.

My husband and I have two small children that are amazing! They also attend the Brindlee Mountain Schools. We reside on a small farm in the Pleasant Grove Community.
