Hello My Name Is...

Katrina Haynes

I work as a special education teacher for students in grades 11-12 at Brindlee Mtn. High School.  I currently enjoy coaching Archery and serve as the Jr. Civitan Chair. I began my teaching career in 2012 after receiving a BS Ed in K-6 Collaborative Education at Athens State University in Athens, Alabama. Most recently I graduated from Jacksonville State University with a MS Ed in K-12 Collaborative Education. I have worked as a special education teacher in Cullman County at West Point Elementary School and Harmony School before coming to work in Marshall County.

I am married and my husband works as a CNC machinist in Birmingham. We have two daughters- Courtney and Caitlin, one son, Jonathan, and two granddaughters, Rilynn and Ashlynn. In my free time, I enjoy reading, camping, traveling, and watching football.  I am a huge Auburn Tiger fan! WAR EAGLE!

My goal in education is to guide students to become better individuals and to be successful in life.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me at haynes.katrina@marshallk12.org or call me at the school at 256-753-2800.
